Q-What first drew you to theatre, and what keeps you coming back?

​

While teaching high school, I would attend theatre performances to support my students. I was always so impressed at what they could do!

Conversations with our theatre teacher helped me begin to understand what theatre can do for people. I truly had no idea! I’d been thinking about taking a theatre class when I saw the invitation to try out for the Steel Magnolias staged reading in the spring of 2026.

Q-If you could tell your younger self one thing about theatre, what would it be?

It’s not what you think it is. It’s better.

Q- What is your favorite thing about ECC theatre so far?

So far, my favorite thing is the opportunity to learn in a supportive environment. It’s been fun to peek into this world I knew practically nothing about and soak it all in.
