ECC Theatre is thrilled to bring this immersive, interactive scare fest to the stage! Night of the Living Dead: Live is a fun and hilarious re-imagining of George A. Romero’s legendary classic.

Through a series of multiple endings, the characters are all faced with different issues and challenges

while desperately trying to survive the night.

​

However, their contrasting personalities and agendas always seem to prevent the group from working together.

​

Which leaves us all wondering: Could anyone survive a night of the living dead? A 120 minute scream fest comes to life complete with zombies and musical numbers!

​

We are casting 10-25 (ages 13+) actors who will play multiple parts.

​

The following major roles are available:

​

Barbara- 20-30. Put together at first, but melts down as the show progresses.

​

Ben- Hero type. Outspoken. Protects Barbara.

​

Tom- Young and handsome. Judy's boyfriend.

​

Judy- Girl next door. Tom's girlfriend.

​

Harry- 30s-50s. Curmudgeon, working class. Weaselly. Helen's husband and Karen's dad.

​

Helen- late 30's. World weary homemaker. Harry's wife and Karen's mom.

​

Karen- young daughter of Harry and Helen (9-12)

​

Chief McClelland- 30s-40s. Small town sheriff. Folksy.

​

Vince- Chief McClelland's young deputy. Idealistic. Obedient to the chief.

​

Johnny- Barbara's brother (gets eaten by zombies)

Newscaster

Multiple Zombies- a LOT of zombies

News Anchor- Reports on the zombie situation

Reporter- In the field

Scientist- Trying to educate the public

General- Wants to kill all the zombies

Bill Cardill- Local reporter

and more!

This show is a mix of horror, camp and zaniness - it is fast paced and doesn't stop.

​

We're looking for people who are able to learn fast and are willing to take chances! Please check out the audition selections below. You will be asked to read more than one selection, so please be familiar with all selections.
 

This rehearsal process will be very quick- please be prepared to be here at every rehearsal (although we only call you when we need you). The rehearsal schedule is below. Please bring a list of your conflicts to auditions.

Auditions are Monday, August 19th from 6:30pm-8:30pm and Tuesday, August 20th from 6:30-7:30

with callbacks from 7:30-9pm on Tuesday, August 20th.

​

First rehearsal will be Thursday, August 22nd from 6:30-9pm.

​

Rehearsals will be 3 nights per week (usually M, T and Th) from 6:30-9pm.

​

This show will have Sunday afternoon fight rehearsals.
